Basten Leijh presents - in collaboration with Signify - new work during Milan Design Week!
Last year, Basten started a collaboration with Signify (Philips MyCreation), world leader in smart-LED lighting. The sustainable vision immediately formed a match with the values of BLEIJH.
The assignment was to design a lamp from Signify's well-known 3D technology. Basten began the quest to make this hi-tech technology as invisible as possible in the product.
He was inspired by the layering of flower calyxes and fabrics from fashion.
This resulted in a special layer by layer lamp, made from recycled materials.
It will get a well-deserved stage at Milan Design Week, where the lamp will be officially unveiled.
